Protect and conserve open space to preserve wildlife, clean water, climate, and biodiversity reserves
Promote non-motorized year-round outdoor recreation for residents and visitors
Provide economic growth through increased tourist visits and extended stays
PHATS (Pine Hills Area Trails System) is a group of like-minded individuals representing a broad array of interests (hikers, mountain bikers, small businesses, equestrians, naturalists, tourism advocates, appointed and elected officials) encouraging the Town of Plymouth to develop a trail network on the property currently owned by Holtec Decommissioning International – the organization responsible for decommissioning the nuclear plant. Our goal is to provide recreation and education opportunities by managing, maintaining, and building trails to foster the health of our community, surrounding environment, and regional economy.
